Morning Boost: Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte.


If you're a Starbucks junkie like me, you'll soon see that this homemade version of their $4 Latte tastes just as good, if not better for a fraction of the price ;-)


What a lot of people don't know is that the trick to making a good matcha latte is using good quality matcha powder. Matcha powder is one of those things that you really should spend the few extra pennies and get the good brand because matcha varies in quality. My rule of thumb - the lighter the matcha, the better quality, so stay clear from Matcha that looks olive or brownish. For this, you'll need:



  • 12 oz Milk of choice

  • 2 tsp matcha powder

  • 2 tsp Vanilla Syrup, honey, or sugar.

  • 1 cup ice



Instructions

  • To the bowl of a blender, add the milk, matcha powder, and vanilla syrup. Blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the matcha is lump free. 

  • Pour into a cup of ice and Enjoy!
