Because breakout-prone skin need love too, our next crush is too busy beating acne, and eliminating blackheads to care, but if we're keeping score, Apoterra's Herbal Balancing Serum is the best serum on the market right now for oily & combination skin. If you don't believe me, over 100 other women swear by it, and that's why we had to see for ourselves. Verdict - Worth the hype!
Ever heard of a CBD Firming Serum? Me neither, until I met Glow Gelée by Undefined Beauty. If you were ever going to judge something by its size, don't start here. The Glow Gelée will make a fool of you like it did me, when I too underestimated it's power, and power as its right! This little jar is infused with natures most powerful organic botanicals to increase skin elasticity, and blur pores and fine lines. It's no secret that the CBD element is the secret sauce here.
Knowing that so many suffer from dry and itchy scalp, and especially around this time of the year, Amazing Earth Oil & Dandruff Control Herbal Shampoo had to be on our list. Between the rich avocado oil and sweet combination of natural herbs and essential oils, your hair has all it needs for growth, strength, and moisture in one bottle.
So I did the big swap! which in "clean beauty speak" means swapping my regular ol' routine to now consist mainly of clean beauty products. With W3ll people making this decision so much easier to do, my foundation was one of the first to go. W3ll People's Bio Based Baked Foundation provides a semi-matte finish, and so is perfect for gals like me, on the go who want a sheer finish that's smooth but not too cakey, you know - the 'no makeup' makeup look. What I especially loved about w3ll people was its emphasis on affordability without cutting corners. The formula is super high quality and does what it promises - a combination that cannot be beat easily.
Now most of you have heard about the positive effects of CBD on skin. Many of you have even read our guide to understanding CBD. So when we got the chance to review yet another CBD product, I saw it as an opportunity to remedy all my aches, pains and dry patches that I had heard Kopari CBD Recovery Balm was so good for. I love that you can smell the shea and cocoa butter, and feel the slight ting of mint, as the healing aloe melts on to your skin. I use this product after every workout, to alleviate tightness in areas of my body. I used it on my tummy when aunt flow came visiting this month, and let's just say she wasn't too pleased with my new found resistance.
Of all the moisturizers that we tried this month, Weleda's Skin Food was our favorite. Turns out the rumours are true; this is the perfect match for thirsty skin, and for sure, ticks all the boxes of being nourishing without being overly greasy. What made me even more excited to review this product was that it's been dermatologist approved - So even your skin doctor prescribes it for ashy knuckles. My advice is to go ahead! Use it on your dry feet, elbows, your grandmas dry feet, elbows, everybodys dry feet, and elbows.
I know what you're thinking, but I can assure you that you're still reading reviews about products and not pastries. Bae Bakerie's popular Body Frosting are Shea butter based skin creams made to look, feel and smell like frosting whipped into a light fluffy non-greasy moisturizer that smells so good you wouldn't believe it's Shea butter! They come in up to 5 flavors, and start at only $8. My favorites are the Honey Oat and Coco Body.
I'll be honest, I wasn't so sure about this cleanser at first. I was so used to cleansers that lather up like soap, so when I tried cocokind oil-to-milk cleanser, the experience was new to me. This cleanser transforms into milk upon contact with water- how genius is that? It's really become my favorite face wash. I use it everyday, and now wish it came in a bigger size. I would recommend it for people with all skin types.
Wherever you find olive oil, and calendula blossoms, you can always find me. It shouldn't take much convincing to make Amazing Earth's After Sun Healing Oil a summer essential, I mean it literally looks like gold in a jar! I started off using this product every morning, knowing that I would possibly be exposed to the sun, and now it's become imperative that I carry it around with me. Made with all natural ingredients, it's calendula and olive oil benefits stood out to me the most, both known for their healing properties, coupled with the cooling effect of aloe vera gel, this product effectively soothes burns and bruises. It'd be unwise to ever leave it behind.
