Ah, that elusive glow that we all want our skin to have…good news – it’s attainable and simple to achieve. Follow these steps for that lit-from-within, healthy, glowing complexion. P.S. You probably already have everything you need in your medicine cabinet!

Cleanse twice daily. A key to radiant skin is making sure you clean your “canvas” thoroughly. This will allow any products you apply after cleansing to fully absorb and work their glowing magic. Check out some of our favorite cleansers.

Exfoliate (but don’t overdo it.) One of the best ways to brighten skin and boost its glow, both immediately and long term, is by exfoliating. Depending on the needs of your skin, 2-3 times per week should suffice. St. Eden Tip: If you don’t own an exfoliating product, simply use a washcloth that’s not too soft to wash your face. Cleanse in circular motions and this will provide a very gentle exfoliation!

Hydrate and Protect. You always want to apply your skincare products from thinnest to thickest. Now that you’ve cleansed and exfoliated, it’s time to apply your serum and/or moisturizer. When skin is moisturized, it reflects light, making it instantly appear more glowing. After you’ve hydrated your skin, it’s time for, you guessed it, sunscreen – always. We love these moisturizers and these serums.

Choose brightening skincare ingredients. Chances are, your current serums/oils likely have some of these ingredients. Two of the best glow-inducing ingredients are Vitamin C (an antioxidant that brightens skin by blocking an enzyme that produces pigment) and Niacinamide (slows pigment production to lighten dark spots.) Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. This goes without saying, but…don’t forget good old H2O. Proper hydration is directly related to skin cell regeneration, which is key to a glowing complexion.
